Chatbinder is designed around one principle: your conversations never leave your computer.

What we collect

Nothing. Chatbinder has no server, no account system, and no telemetry. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.

Chatbinder stores the following locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:

Titles and URLs of AI conversations you visit on ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
The full text of conversations you explicitly choose to save with “Save this chat”.
Folders and organization you create.

This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us or any third party. Uninstalling the extension removes it.

storage — to keep the above data in your browser.
activeTab — to read the current chat page only when you click “Save this chat”.
downloads — to save exported Markdown files to your Downloads folder when you export.
Host access to chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com — to detect and read your conversations on those sites. Chatbinder does not run on any other site.

None. Chatbinder makes no network requests to any server, including our own.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
